Orpha's Story

I am a Webkinz. If you do not know what that is, it is a special stuffed animal that comes with a secret code to allows the owner to play with the pet on a special website. One day while I was in the store waiting to be chosen to go home with someone special, a very mean and thoughtless person came into the store and ripped my secret code off of me. Ouch!!! How painful - it left a hole. The pain of the tag did not compare to the hurt that would follow until Meghan found me.

Customer after customer went by, picked me up frowned and then roughly tossed me down. Then one person came by and did not put me down with a frown. This person seemed to be kind and caring. Her name was Meghan. I am sure you know where this is going, but hold on ... This is my story to tell. Meghan did not seem to mind that my secret code tag was missing, and I would not be able to play with her and other Webkinz online. She convinced her mom to buy me because she liked me anyway. I was SOOOO EXCITED...I HAD A HOME!!!

The next day she took me with her to her Mawmaw's house. Her mawmaw was very nice and sewed the hole on my belly closed. Her stitches were very small and neat so you have to look really really hard to find the place the hole once was.

Over the summer I will be Meghan's constant companion. I will be right by her side. There's lots of stuff we will be doing - some already planned and others not. I would tell you some ... but that would ruin the surprise. So if you want to know what she has done, you will have to come back often to find out.

Last but not least, the source of my name. Meghan named me because of where she found me. With my missing tag, I was classified as an Orphan sale so she named me Orpha. I was really lucky that Meghan found me. Even though I cannot play online with here other Webkinz, I get to be online here and tell the story of her summer. I think my adventures this summer will probably be cooler than anything I could do on the Webkinz site.
